Powder brows

Thousands of tiny pigment dots built up in layers with a digital machine, no blade and no cutting. The result is a soft, shaded finish that looks like brow powder brushed on gently, rather than an obvious tattoo.

The most requested treatment in the studio, and the one that suits the widest range of skin. Because there are no hair strokes to blur, powder holds its shape well on oily and combination skin where microblading often fades patchy.

Combination brows

Fine hair strokes through the front of the brow, blended into soft shading through the body and tail. The front keeps a natural, feathery texture while the arch gets definition.

Best on normal to dry skin, where the individual strokes stay crisp as they heal. If you like the idea of microblading but want it to last, this is usually the treatment to ask about.

Brow top up

Two different appointments share this name. Your perfecting session comes six to eight weeks after a first treatment, once everything has healed, and fine tunes colour and shape. After that, an annual top up keeps things looking fresh.

Andrea also takes on work done elsewhere, including faded microblading. Bring a photo or come for a consultation and you will get an honest answer about whether it can be worked over, needs fading first, or is better left alone.

Lip blush

Soft colour worked through the whole lip rather than just the border. It redefines the lip line, evens out patchy natural tone, and makes lips read fuller without any filler.

Colour looks a lot brighter than expected for the first few days, then settles dramatically as it heals. What you are left with is closer to a stain than a lipstick, which is exactly the point.

Brow shape and tint

A classic wax, tidy and tint. No pigment, no healing, nothing semi permanent about it.

Useful in two situations: you are not ready to commit to SPMU and want to see a stronger shape first, or you already have semi permanent brows and want the stray hairs tidied between top ups.

Consultation and patch test

Free, about twenty minutes, and no obligation to book anything on the day. We talk through shape, colour, your skin, the healing process and whether semi permanent makeup is actually the right call for you.

The patch test happens at the same visit and needs to be at least forty eight hours before any pigment work, so one short visit covers both.

Healing and aftercare

The two weeks after matter as much as the appointment.

Andrea sends you home with written aftercare and checks in while you heal. The short version is below.

Days one to three

Colour looks noticeably darker and sharper than the finished result. This is normal and it does not stay this way.

Days three to ten

Light flaking. Do not pick it, however tempting. Pulling flakes early is the main cause of patchy healed colour.

Keep them dry and clean

No swimming, saunas, sunbeds or heavy sweating while healing, and keep skincare acids well away from the area.

Week six to eight

Everything has settled and true colour is visible. This is when your perfecting session tops up anything that healed light.

Before you book

Semi permanent makeup is not right for everyone.

Some things rule it out, some just need a conversation first. Tell Andrea at your consultation if any of these apply to you, and check with your GP if you are unsure.

Ask first

Pregnancy or breastfeeding, diabetes, blood thinning medication, a history of keloid scarring, or any active skin condition in the area.

Timing matters

Leave at least two weeks after Botox or filler in the area, and twelve months after finishing a course of Roaccutane.

The things people ask in the chair.

What is the difference between powder brows and microblading?
Microblading cuts fine strokes into the skin with a blade. Powder brows use a machine to deposit pigment as soft dots, with no cutting. Powder is gentler on the skin, suits oily skin far better, and generally heals more predictably.
Does powder brow treatment hurt?
Numbing cream goes on before Andrea starts and is topped up during the appointment. Most people describe a light scratching sensation, and plenty fall asleep in the chair.
Will my brows look too dark at first?
Yes, for the first few days, and that is by design. Healed colour typically softens by about a third from how it looks on the day. Judging the result before day ten is judging the wrong thing.
Can you cover faded microblading from another artist?
Often yes. It depends how dark the old work is, what colour it has faded to, and how much scar tissue is there. Send a photo or come in for a free consultation and you will get a straight answer.
